Trouble is my middle name

I think I really did it this time. I have been very upset the past well almost two weeks now because Connie leaves every morning and it is early afternoon before she gets back. She has gone back to work part time and I don't like it. She doesn't relax like she did before until later in the afternoon and early evening. When she gets home, she is busy doing things around the house and fixing dinner (which I still sample as she is eating). So...... I plotted to get even with her. First I stole her "rat" tail comb which she has had for a hundred years. She says it is still good and usable so she takes good care of it - washing it, etc. Geez all that does is make the sink wet so I can't sleep in it. Anyway, I hid it under one of the bathmats in her bathroom. Took her two days to find it! The second thing I did was to sleep on her shawl. When she is watching TV in the late afternoon and evening she wraps up in this very warm shawl that Remington's mother made for her. During the morning the shawl lays on one of the dining room chairs and several days when Connie comes home, it is covered with my hair. I figure if it is warm enough for her, it must be warm enough for me and besides, if I can't sleep on her lap in the chair, then I will sleep on her shawl in a chair. She put it in the bedroom one day, but I pulled it down on the floor so I was doubly warm - floors are warm in this house. I think she has given up on keeping me off of it and that is ok. I will protect it from Chance until she gets home. Yes, I caught Chance sneaking a little nap on the chair too. Yesterday I watched as Connie went out to feed the birds - love to watch the birds at the feeder. Well, she didn't check the lock on the door and I didn't mention to her that the door was locked. She was locked out but thank goodness the side door was unlocked so she got back in. I just sat in the window and smiled to myself - that will teach her to go back to work. I caught Chance and Connie watching Ghost Hunters a couple of nights - I don't like that show so I just left them alone. I have enough to do - can't be watching TV - my job is just never done - have to be on the alert at all times.
