Friends?

I think Shadow is a little bit disgusted with me. I jumped on her the other night and she barked at me. It was pretty scary for all of us because I was told Shadow doesn't bark. Even Connie was scared.

So, we had a little girl spend the day/night on Saturday. I really tried to be good, but I wanted to play so I pushed her down. Now I am not a big cat but she went down with no effort on my part. I think she was scared because she cried really hard. Kellie was here and picked her up and cuddled her. I guess that made her feel better but she stayed away from me after that. I don't think she liked me much to begin with and this really didn't help.

I have been trying really hard to get Chance to like me and I think I am making a lot of progress. We are in the process of what Connie calls a Slumber Party except it goes on all evening and all morning when everyone is here. This morning Connie was pretty disgusted with both me and Chance as she was trying to fix her hair for work and we were both on the counter in the bathroom eating out of the same bowl. She didn't act too upset because she is glad we were getting along.

I have been sleeping with Connie on the foot of her bed. It is pretty nice but awfully cold - she sleeps with her window open. It was cold last night, but I just pulled the blankets around me and settled down.

So I am done for tonight. I will write more when I have more to report.

Just a note from Me

Hi everyone,

It is me, Tigger, again. I am so settling into this new life of mine. I just love it. I still have not gotten any welcoming signs from Chance, but I can grab onto Shadow's leg and walk around with her. She doesn't like it very much, but she tolerates it.

I got caught licking peanut butter off a piece of Russ' toast the other morning. To say he was not happy is putting it mildly. I thought if it is on the TV tray, then it must be for sharing, but I was so wrong.

Two little girls came out on Sunday evening. They petted me and were very gentle, but then people kept telling them to be gentle.

I have been following Connie around quite a bit and ended up getting left in a room called the utility room. I don't know how long I was in there, but it sure felt good to come out.

I have been exploring the house and am getting used to the goings and comings of everyone. My favorite time is about 8:30 or 9 when it is dark and we all settle down to watch some TV. I don't have a favorite program, I am just content to sit and watch whatever anyone else is.

Better go for now.

My new life

Hi all,

Well, I have learned different things from my earlier post. I know who Remington and Beth are, I understand what a porch is, I know what worms are and bananas. So on to other things.

I have found this new living arrangement to be much better than the woodpile. I get all the safe rest I could hope for and although the sounds are strange, no one has bothered me yet. When I was living outside, Connie would bring this huge white thing out almost every day. I growled and hissed and it didn't pay any attention to me. Well, once I got in the house, it didn't seem so big any more and I marched right up to its nose and looked it square in it. The nose is about as big as my head, but I didn't back down. I learned it is a dog and her name is Shadow. There were dogs were I came from but they were always outside. This one lives in the house with me. When I came up to her, she just turned her head away and said "oh no not another one". That was it - I didn't have to growl or hiss one time. I think I have made a friend. Now onto the other cat. Her name is Chance and she has come out of hiding. She growled at me, but Connie told me that once she gets used to me, it will be ok. She looks like she could be a mother-figure. I will watch for welcoming signs from her.

I have had the run of the house since about 3:30 today, but will be sleeping one more night on the porch. It is quite out there and I will be just fine. So Connie and Kellie (met her while I was living in the woodpile and traveling under the hood of Russ' truck) went to a Scentsy party tonight and when Connie came home, she found me all curled up and comfy on the couch. Connie's comment was WFM (apparently Kellie uses this term when she is upset about something at work and it sounds better than other things people might say. It stands for Work Force Management and they are the people who tell Kellie when she can be off the phones - haven't learned about phones yet). I was nice and warm and for those of you who don't know it seems we only have one couch in this house and it belongs to Russ. I tried to help him eat his dinner tonight, too, while he was watching the news and he didn't like me sneaking onto his plate so he tapped me on the nose with a fork. I guess I won't do that again, but I wasn't mad at him and he didn't stay mad at me so that is why I settled down with him. Connie said I was her kitty, but it looks like I will be friends with Russ, too.

All for now - it is bedtime for this little Tiger Kitty.

Tigger
Hey guys,

I know nothing about blogging (what ever that is) nor does Connie (my woman owner) but she has a friend who blogs all the time so I am going to rely on Remington and Beth (who ever those people are) for help and support.

I became an inside cat last night after a trip to the Vet to get a physical. I got poked and prodded and shot. Got medicine in my ears and ate some banana (what ever that is) tasting stuff for worms (what ever they are). I explored my new surroundings and then was put out on the porch (?) for the night. I have a lot to learn about all this new stuff. My previous living conditions was a pile of wood - totally away from rain and wind. This is so new to me.

I am going to close for now. Connie said she has a party to go to after work. Oh yes, I was there too! I waited in the van for Connie to finish work last night. Then I met one of Connie's friends from work.

I will be back on tonight, hopefully,

Tigger
